How Parenthood and a Special Connection Sparked Our Sustainable Mission

Becoming parents changes everything, doesn't it? For us, the arrival of our first child in 2022 didn't just bring sleepless nights and immeasurable joy; it also brought us an unexpected and profound friendship with an amazing family of doctors. It was through the unique lens of both new parenthood and this special connection that our eyes were opened in ways we never expected, setting us on a path that led to the creation of Hearthly

How it started

The journey began as we navigated the new world of parenthood. Along the way, we were fortunate enough to connect with this incredible family who have since become our closest friends. Their wisdom and our own desire to find the safest, most nurturing environment for our baby naturally led us to explore products that were not only effective but also free from harmful toxins and kind to the environment. This was our first real deep dive into the world of sustainable products. We started seeing the impact of our choices more clearly, understanding that the products we use every day have a story beyond the shelf – a story that involves our health and the health of the planet our children will inherit.

Fast forward to 2025, with the arrival of our second little one. The need for sustainable living felt even more immediate, more personal. Around the same time, catching up with one of our doctor friends, who is now pursuing her MBA at ASU in the USA, the conversation naturally turned to the growing global awareness and the urgent need for sustainable solutions. We talked about the challenges people face in finding reliable information and truly sustainable options for everyday life.

The Spark

It was in that conversation, spanning continents and shared dreams for our children's future, that the idea for this platform truly took hold. We realized that with our combined experiences – our personal journey of discovery as parents, and the insights from a healthcare professional with a growing understanding of global needs – we were uniquely positioned to help. We thought, "What if there was one place people could go to understand sustainable living better? A place that highlights genuinely sustainable products and makes it easier for everyone to make informed choices?"
